WHAT IS NOVA?
NOVA is the name of our Youth Drama Team!
Based on the scripture Ephesians 5:8,
"Walk as Children of Light".
We teach our students how to be good leaders, how to
reflect the Lord in everything they do & say, and how to
worship the Lord, FREELY, through dance.
When I was 4 years old, I asked Jesus to save me and I've been serving him ever since. I've been dancing probably as long as I've been saved! I started off on a dance team in primary school; eventually I took up gymnastics. During my middle school & high school careers, I used what I had learned and began choreographing for show choir, my church drama team, beta club, and TCHS dance team. For college, I moved to Alabama to attend the Ramp School of Ministry. It's there that I extended my knowledge in the Performing Arts and in the Ministry of Jesus. I am so grateful for this gift of dance! My goal is to teach others how to dance with hearts un-abandoned; it is truly freeing!
For as long as i can remember my whole life up until Spring of 2018 i’ve been broken & bound by additiction & hopelessness. then i decided to dedicate & surrender my life & my will over to christ. this walk has not been an easy one but it is more fullfiling and rewarding than i ever could have imagined. Jesus has made me the best mom, wife, friend and mentor i could ever be! i’ve always had a passion for dance & am very excited to lead our church’s youth is dancing & praising Jesus!
Hi, I’m Christine and a girl mom of one. Loving on Jesus since 2016! My journey with Christ has been just that, a journey. My passion is to inspire, dig into Gods word, encourage and edifying others. I do devotions for our dance team Nova and love to see our kids grow in love with the Lord through our dance ministry.
I came to the Lord on my knees. I was out of options and out of excuses. Because I had grown up in church, a part of me always knew I was running from my God. On January 17th, 2017 at the age of 20 years old, I finally let Him catch me! That was the day the old me died with Christ on the cross. Ever since, the story of my life has been Galatians 2:20 which says, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." I am devoted to showing others that Christ truly is our source of life! What better way to express the joy of being alive than dancing for Jesus? My message to the students of NOVA is, “Praise God that you are alive and walking by moving your body. You are no corpse, get up and dance!!
